  • awesome, seen a few juvenile viviparous lizards and a ciuple of adders but that is a spectacular set of photos some VERY gravid lizards in there, either that or the bugs are in abundance!

  • Thank you very much Erik.

I'm very glad you enjoyed the video. We've had such a mild winter that I expect that this summer we'll see a great number of reptiles around the Western Heights. I expect it'll be a very productive summer as insects will be aplenty. I'm still awaiting that kick-dead adder photo though. They are such timid creatures, I really hope my luck will be in.

    Thanks again.

  • its a great place, ive been field herping there, no luck yet though

  • Keep trying Joe! You'll be lucky one day and get a fantastic photo we'll all be jealous of.

Let me know when you do!

  • Lol, You live in dover? Im in cheriton near folkestone, Often I go down the marshes in new romney, Hopefully Ill get a Marsh frog.

Samphire hoe is good for lizards and adders, as You know. In the summer apparently the lizards climb on the car park fence

  • Yep, I do live in Dover. Those marshes in New Romney are really spectacular for dragonflies in summer. You are really lucky to live in such a beautiful natural area. I've never seen a Marsh Frog...one day...fingers crossed.
