  • i just dicovered nick drake for me.. and it is like they say in this dcumentary.. "when you hear his music, you want to tell everbody about it.." the first tune i heard of his songs just cought me and never let me loose.. and this doesn't happen very often with me..

  • That's exactly what happend to me when I "exedently" discovered the movie at the dutch film academy. I starded playing guitar because of him.

    We will keep in touch

  • it's sad to here molly drake say that nick felt that if his music helped a single person it would be worth it. I wish he knew how his music has changed my life, i visited his grave last year when i was 18, and it was the most moving experience of my life

  • @ozoshah

and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!

  • I think if Nick new how much his music really moved people, he wouldn't have been so hungry for recognition, radio play, etc. His voice was probably his biggest obstacle to "big air time," but his music wouldn't have been the same with a more commercial sounding voice. Too bad he couldn't have been happy with just creating his magnificent art, and the commercial music industry be damned ! Imagine how many more brilliant albums would have come out of him.

  • oh, he changed my life so much. and i know how he felt - beeing rejected all of the time..

i think if all of us who would've understood him so properly would've met him then, he would be alive now. finding soulmates is what we are all looking for, isn't it? ain't that what you all want? meeting people who think and feel the same and suffer the same way as you do - feeling that special connection.

i do have friends but i haven't found a real soulmate yet and probably never will; he died in '74..

  • goodnight, sweet prince...

  • Thanks for making this little trailer - it's what I send to everybody when I want to show them a little something about Nick. I adore this documentary. Since traveling to Tanworth-in-Arden it is somehow all the more powerful to watch, knowing that I'd been there. And you can feel Nick everywhere in that town.

  • I have friends who play guitar and will not even try to play his songs. On two of his records Richard Thompson played and he is still performing. He is adored by the many, his work has touched many and is considered one of the best guitar players ever. Look him up on here-he has alot of musical style. Cyndi

  • He should have came to LA in those years, He would have been embraced and accepted. Seems no one embraced him when he was touring around London. Rejection hurts. Nick will always be a musical Genius.

  • it feels so frustrating! I wish he could know how much people adore his music, but he left way before we started to appreciate him and his music, he is so amazing

  • A hell of a guitarist as well as songwriter!Big Respect!
