I just watched the musicvideo for "Fascination street" and Simon is indeed playing a Bass VI but I'm still not sure if that's the instrument he used on the actual recording, it still sounds like a Stingray to me. But then again, I could be wrong.

Advice: you have 4 fingers you can use to fret notes, use them! You can't get away with playing more complicated songs with one finger.

Very nice. But personally, just hate those roundwound string squeaks. Would seriously consider at least trying flats - which are available from LaBella for the Bass VI.
