14-Year-Old Downclimbs Third Class Terrain on Wetterhorn Pk

Wetterhorn Peak is 4,272 metres (14,015 feet) high. On this early Sunday morning 14-year-old Eric and I had the entire peak to ourselves! Of course the wind and cold were the determining factors in this lucky moment of solitude. Anyway, this video recording of Eric took place at around the 4,115 metre (13,500 feet) level - Eric skillfully found the way down for us!

Good point Except Eric turned out to be quite the mountaineer - he will be finishing all 58 14ers next weekend...

My last 14er was El Diente back in 2009 (It was one I was previously missing due to weather, etc.). Eric will finish his with South Maroon next week - they're going to take a bucket of KFC to the top to celebrate with - unfortunately I'll be stuck at work...

@likearc Hey i'm Eric from the vid, yea its not bad at all. If its a 5 y'o that summits or a 60 y'o still same difficulty. Not trying to impress or brag about my climbing, just here to enjoy the Colorado Mtns. I know alot of age groups that have done it. I'll be skiing em in the next years to come. Gotta buy a helmet cam now...
