The different types of chimney fires, creosote and non-creosote chimney fires. As a firefighter, you may have interviewed a victim of a chimney fire. This is a sample from the Firefighter Knowledge training for firefighters. The information is also important for the public, fire inspectors, fire investigators and property managers.

  • @josephdupont It would just crack the brickwork and spread the fire.

  • There is a thing called a mass rocket heater which burns so hot that there is no creosote.. only co2 and h20.. and you vent out the side of your building gases less than 120 degrees..

  • @josephdupont It makes more sense to clean the chimney regularly, or at least have it inspected.

  • why can 't they just keep a water nozzel up there ready to go?
