This documentary directed by Dolors Genovès and broadcasted by Televisió de Catalunya compares the reality of Greenland, Scotland and Quebec with Catalonia, and reflects about the following questions: Is independence/secession democratic? Would these new states be economically viable? How would EU react?

  • Greetings from Scotland! You have our support! x

  • @mrkjames9 Thanks, Scots! :)

  • @CatalanProcess Actually you don't have our support.

  • @Gregusse We'll do it anyway; the future of Catalonia only depends on Catalans. However, thanks for your involvement! :)

  • @Injektilo7 Well Quebecs neighbours dont speak French

    If anything make the north of scottaland have official language gaelic

  • @akumie2 The last King of Scots to speak Gaelic was James IV, who died at the Battle of Flodden 1513, and even for him, it was not his native language, Scots was. Gaelic has not been the majority language of Scotland for some five or six hundred years, yet Scotland was still an independent state for half of that time.

    Judging by your world-view why on Earth should Quebec become independent? Surely it should just become part of France, after all, they speak the same language.

  • I am against Scottland to be a country until 50%+ of the people speak scottish gaelic

    Quebec speaks French not English, Catalunya speaks Catalan not Spanish but Scottland what does it speak that the neighbours dont speak?

    Quebec and Cataluya fight for a language and culture but Scottland doesnt really have that different culture from England if you only look at the 95% English speaking parts

    If we dont care about a language we might as well make any region become a country

    Language=culture

  • Do not use Quebec as an example. Quebec is not 'seceding'. Its referendums in 1980 & 1995 proposed that Quebecers should 'give a mandate' to force all of Canada to alter its form of government coast to coast, which is a coup d'etat. Quebec only threatened to 'secede' if all of Canada refused to overthrow its own government to adopt the EU system, expanding worldwide as the basis of world government. Elites own the press & media, so closely check FACTS, or you'll be baffled & screwed over.

  • Thank you so much.
