A Denham Production - Filmed in the bitter cold of January or February 1998 at Bake Lakes in Cornwall for 'Out & About' , broadcast on BBC 2 on the 14th May 1998 with Craig Rich and Derek Aunger (www.flyfishingexperiences.co.uk). It was so cold you could hardly hold the rod. It was uncertain we would see any fish, but it's excactly as it happened, first cast - a take to a damsel nymph ( did you notice that the pattern shown in the video was not actually a damsel nymph?)The lake was not yet open to the public because there was a very high voltage electricity pylon where people would be casting ( you can see it in the background in some shots. This was re-sited and the Lake opened later in the year. Now, 13 years later Bake Lakes is a superb well established, natural, and vey popular fishery. Appologies for the quality - it's from a vhs tape from 1998.
