This is an interview with Chris Collins, the Director of Enterprise Business Systems for Second Life. In this clip, Chris discusses how second life is using user-generated content (UGC) and virtual currencies to change the way that ecommerce works. What's interesting about the Second Life ecommerce model is users retain all the property rights over their UGC. Where Second Life cashes in is in providing that virtual currency -- kinda of like what eBay did when they bought PayPal.
