Kassuami African Music Live at Summerfest!

Luck Diop got us together for this enjoyable show at Summerfest!
The musicians are:
Lucky, KT Rusch, Yaya Kambaye, Miriam Levie, Naima Adedapo, Jeff Green and Set Drummer. All of us gave great music that day. The people really enjoyed it. Someone sent me this video, so I am posting here.

Note from KT Rusch:: We play this song in our group Universal Love Band and it was the first song I wrote on Gamelon ngoni, the African Harp. I am mainly a Bass Player and played Bass on this gig except for Yayu Xale Yi. Tani Diakite gave me this beautiful instrument and said: "Just play it". I am so grateful to give it a try. Tani is a Master of the instrument and a good friend.

The Song: "Yayu Xale Yi" is a Meditation meaning "Mother of the Children" in Wolof language of West Africa
.
Here are lyrics:

Mother of the Children
Give Peace
Give Love
Precious Wisdom
Light Always present
Mother of the Children.

Special THANKS to the musicians for embracing this LOVE song and for the opportunity to present beautiful music to our city, Milwaukee.

I don't normally wear Fulani hat, haha... Lucky asked me to wear this dress.
Mother of the Children, Give Peace, Give Love.
THANK YOU, KT
