  • Cookie: 2 weeks ago I had this operation done on my left big toe, the pain I am now suffering is far worse that what I was experianing before the operation, I will keep you posted as to what the full outcome will be in about 6 weeks.

  • @pati190 hi :D im 16, i truly noticing hallux rigidus on my foot when i was 15 too. I got it i think.. from, dancing. There was this certain move i used to do which was MEGA hard on my toes. I never really it tbh. Im still dancing, just not doing that certain move. Have you considered orthodics? THats what i was given. They did help quite a bit in fact. What did your podiatrist tell you?

  • @pati190 I don't know maybe from wearing too-tight shoes which I had a problem with 2-3 years ago. I'm going to a pediatrist in 2 weeks hopefully they can tell me how to prevent it from getting worse.

  • @julsmul im 15 too and ive got the same problem : O appatently it's caused by wearing "ballerina" type shoes. I stopped wearing them but it's still getting worse :( how did it appear on your foot?

  • I'm 15 and I think I have hallux limitus in my left big toe. It has gotten considerably worse since the beginning of 2010 as I can only bend the joint to about 130 degrees, compared to my right big toe where I can bend it 90 degrees. I have tried to forcibly bend it upwards with my hands but it only results in pain in the joint. Hampering my running and recently my walking. I can't live just sitting around all the time I'm depressed. How can I fix this please I'm desperate please please......
