There's a significant difference between the two categories oft trains. The regional train stops at each station and is used for local passenger transport in a region. An InterRegio travelles a longer way, for example between two bigger cities, and connects different regions. It stops not at each small station but at the lager Villages and Towns of the Region.

Bit it isn't a regional train! It might be an InterRegio - it's not the same.
