RAVINE FLYER II roller coaster Front Seat Raw footage in HD (Sanyo VPC CG20) - Waldameer Park

One of the wildest wooden roller coasters I've ridden since Hades & Voyage is the RAVINE FLYER II at Waldameer Park in Erie, PA. My visit on Friday afternoon around 5pm on Sept. 3, 2010 warranted small crowds, so we got plenty of rides on this gem. They had gale force wind warnings posted and the white caps on Lake Erie were....eerie, lol. If you are a fan of wooden coasters, find a way to get to this great little historic park! The parking is free, and it is free to enter. Just pay for your rides & food. I took the video with my brand new pistol-grip Sanyo Xacti VPG CG-20. It has true 1080p HD video and a 10 megapixel camera. This video was actually taken at 720p. The results were more than satisfactory on my 42" LG LCD. The video is raw, and unedited. I apologize for the few curse words I uttered while going down the dips, lol. Enjoy the ride!

Actually the CG20 has a 10 megapixel camera, which is more than enough for 99% of situations in life. The CG-102 has a 14 mp camera. I just ordered this CG20 and I can´t wait to have it.

I wonder if you set the image stabilizer on for this video and if it was taken at 60 fps.

@jalsina1 - oops, I'll make the correction. 10mp is correct. I shot this video with the video stabilization at 1280x720 30fps. Decided against shooting at 1080p for the sake of saving space on the card. You will be quite happy with this camera. I put all my movies on a jump drive and plugged it into my LG Blu Ray's USB and was blown away at the quality of photos and video. Can't beat this camera for the price. I got mine at Radio Shack, btw.

@swampfoxer I bought this camera at Amazon and it´s underway as I write this, though I won´t have it in my hands until a couple weeks from now.

This camera is the black model and was a further analysis from my side, looking videos like yours, after returning a defective Kodak Zi8 (to Amazon too).

Some say (here in YouTube) that the Zi8 produces a better quality 1080p video. I think my bluray has also a jump drive input. I have to check.

Awesome ride and a great video. That drop right before you cross over the highway on the way back is definitely an expletive inducing moment.
