yeh. He was an exponent of the patiala style of singing. He was also an accomplished music director, composing for some bollywood films in the mid-early part of the last century.

Ustad All Rakha Sahib was not only a great musician, but a truly great humanbeing. Such a simple and spritual being! Just touching his feet could give one a sense of complete Peace. God Bless His Soul.

@qqhussan Listen from 2:54 onwards, and you'll hear a komal Nishad being sung, which is not usually a part of Shyamkalyan. I'm pretty sure that it is Raag Madhuvanti too; Madhuvanti with both Nishads. I love Raag Shyam Kalyaan too, though; "Saavana Ki Saanjh" is such a great composition.

Not only was he the greatest of all times Tabla exponent.... he sang the raag with elaan! I am surprised to see his approach at the begining with the 'Tappa' form and then moving on to express in the usual 'chalan' of North Indian style.

We are so rich, and I feel proud to be an Indian. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to hear this great man!
