The Academy of Danse Libre performs a vintage dance called Marek's Mazur at the weekly social dance party. Danse Libre is a dance group that performs Victorian ballroom dances.

@oberek92 - Yes, he is. He (Kopinski) also spent time with the Krakowiak Polish Dancers of Boston as Music Director in the mid-80s, when this collaboration occurred.

K Kopinski is a music teacher. He participates at the Lublin summer folklore course for Polonia, organized under direction of Stanislaw Leszczynski who manages the ZPIT group at University Marie Curie Sklodowska. Krystian FR.

This music is from Jacek Marek's recording "Dances of Poland" - which he produced himself with Kazimierz Kopinski and Polish artists for the international folk dance market. He also is the choreographer of this mazur (hence the name). I don't believe the (LP!) recording is still available, but you might try online or from folk dance sources

I would love it if I could understand your notes! Any chanceyou are dying to elucidate? I love the sweeping double arc of the mens' arms. I have never seen it before. I WANT YOUR MUSIC DISC, but you have not answered!
