  • Everyone please stop complaining that it is still easily picked. The idea they are trying to bring across is the convenience of not needing a key

  • bump key that sucker

  • @ccc123abc123 Also consider that unless the burglar is very good at picking locks, or unless the lock is a total piece of shit, they would probably end up fumbling around for longer than it would normally take for someone to get in with a key. If someone saw a person standing in front of a locked door doing jiggling motions, that *may* arouse suspicion. The robber would have to be careful and not be seen by someone before they get in, or do it very quickly which takes a lot of skill.

  • @ccc123abc123 Yeah, but if there wasn't a key, then if the battery dies, the only way through would be to totally destroy the lock by drilling it. With the key, yes it is no more secure than a traditional deadbolt (unless the key part is designed to be extra secure against picking) but it provides a way for the homeowner (or a locksmith) to manually override the lock on the outside without damaging it, should the batteries die. The code is for convineince, not extra security

  • @dickcheney6 well it depends on the situation deadbolts are easy to pick, padlocks can be opened with shims very easily unless the company made an anti-shim and you would need bolt cutters which would be harder to sneak by if you were trying to do something illegal.

  • I'd like to see all these haters post a video response for once. Let's see YOU bump key the lock geniuses.

  • Wow. 3 whole numbers for code? ...

  • if there wasn't a key how on earth would you open it if the battery died? with no key hole, even a lock smith would only be able to get past it by totally destroying the lock! while any key lock can be picked, a door lock tends to be more secure than a $5 pad-lock!

Wiring to AC power would make this a much more complex install

  • ummmm...frying that lock with a microwave gun wont open it. And thats besides the fact that microwaves wouldnt even harm the electronic components. Only Electromagnetic waves do that. What the hell IS a microwave gun?? lol You making crap up.

  • Easily beaten once again. You could teach a 10 year old to pick lock it.
