  • @thesk8rman765 Ye, Gnome 3.4 would be great on a tablet.

  • @ZanoZik There's wasnt a VNC client for webos until today. Not even preware.

BTW that's probably the ugliest screen keyboard I ever see in my life.

  • @linuxwoodmaster This, it's not like linux is exactly unportable. It can be installed on virtually everything, I actually plan to do something exactly like this. Gnome 3 on a tablet seems like it'd be sex.

  • @cgutowski471 I wish! Still no viable vnc apps for the touchpad

  • what's with everyone saying this is fake. Just set this up on my 32Gig Firesale Touchpad and it rocks!

  • So someone has bought HP tab for $99 and installed a VNC client... Was it worth 1 min of my life?

  • @cgutowski471 No, there's no image tearing as there would be if it was a remote VNC.

and yea, how do you get the keyboard to go away?

  • how do you get the keyboard to go away?

  • @cgutowski471 theyre not. there are guides all over precentral about this. you root it, install preware, then install executah, xserver, ubuntu churoot, and LXDE for a gui. you boot the ubuntu command line through webos and launch applications through that command line. the display server shows the application in that webos card, which does make it look like theyre using a vnc program. but theyre not. it is actually running directly from the tablet.

  • looks like they are using VNC to connect to a system over WIFI
