In this new recording, Balsom, the 2009 Classical BRIT Artist of the Year, plays popular concertos originally composed for the violin or oboe by Vivaldi, Tartini, B. Marcello, Albinoni and Cimarosa, accompanied by the Scottish Ensemble.

It's because, sadly, the vast majority of human beings are only one step beyond neanderthals, with zero talent in any field of endeavour, and can only take out their absolute frustration by criticising those very few among us who have exceptional talent like this lady. Rather sad and pathetic really, but that's humanity for you. Don't worry about it, you can't change the way the world is, just ignore the negative comments from great unwashed, and you'll be fine......

@ivandenata it's not a pocket trumpet--it's a piccolo trumpet. There's a difference.

How can people actually get into verbal altercations here. It's ridiculous. That young lady is very talented and extremely beautiful when speaking as well as when she is playing...beautifully. That is a cool horn and it sounds awesome...especially with her talent behind it.

@MrHarvey17 I don't think Schilke makes a rotary valve pic. This looks like a Schertzer. Beautifully dark sound that you can't get from a "long-bell" piccolo trumpet.
