Replastering is an essential part of any rising damp treatment due to the fact that rising damp causes a build up of hygroscopic salts (e.g. chlorides, nitrates) in the wall structure. This video describes two approaches to replastering that can be used in conjunction with Dryzone damp-proofing cream.

1) A 3:1 sand-cement render incorporating the Renderguard Gold salt retardant additive.

2) Oldroyd Xp Plaster Membrane - a meshed cavity drainage membrane sometimes known as a "plaster lath." This system allows lightweight (gypsum) or lime-based plasters to be used.

Both systems carry British Board of Agrément (BBA) approval.
