Wow. There are a lot of negative posts here. You can't blame these guys for what the Monotron is - it's pretty much an electronic noisemaker.

Most of the commenters on this video have no idea what they're talking about, the guitarrist isn't playing to cover the sound of the monotron, the monotron is modifying the sounds of the guitar, he HAS to play for it to be working.

do you use a preamp or something before leading the signal from the guitar into the synth or after? I tried the same with a kaoss pad 3 and failed :D
