  • Brose!

  • How about we just thank him for the inspiration, shut up, go get in the woodshed. Leave the competitions to the athletes. What do they do for Jazz and creativity anyway? Publicity, that's it. In itself, there's nothing wrong with that. In todays age of social networking, you can create just as much hype for yourself. Just be sure that there is substance behind your hype. If you want a competition, go watch the Super Bowl. Speaking of the Super Bowl, GO SAINTS, SUPER BOWL BOUND BABY!

  • Jazz is a strange word to use, I prefer new music. Music & especially young musicians need publicity more than ever. I humbly beg you to reconsider your sentiments on the subject. Most musicians, unless plucked by an elder of status or rank, starve & work terrible jobs just 2 play their horn until the wee hours at a club that charges them for drinks & to even just be there. Very few clubs advertise their performances, so attendance (keep in mind how unpopular 'jazz' or new music is) dwindles.
