It's running a very aggressive tune, C&L Intake, Exhaust, and has 285 rear KDW tires for off the line grip. It's also a manual, where as the G8 is an automatic.

No, you have it backwards. The only time an automatic is going to be quicker then a manual is if it's a DSG, which the G8 is not. You also have far less parasitic loss with a manual.

@4MATICbenz absolutely not, a bolt on 4.0 can easily be in the low 14's. the driver in the g8 obviously sucked and it being auto i can see how the v6 could walk it with a good driver

You can hear the V6 motor of the G8 also.....the G8 GT sounds completely different then the V6 in the video. That mustang is quick, but wouldn't be as quick against a GT.

Had to of been a V6 G8, I own a G8 GT and there's no way in hell it would lose to a 240hp mustang..

Im sry I throw the bullshit flag on this vid Im sry but i feel this video is withholding info from us and from the sound of this g8 i think its fair to say its a v6 I have both models of teh g8 the gt with a 6.0 and the gtp with a 6.2 and when im crusing the bitch it rumbles both of them with stock exaust this thing sounds like a mouse its eather a v6 on a v6 or its a g6 vs a mustange but i can eliminate that simple vecause the dash in the car is g8 workings soooo come on man out with the truth

@darkgt03 The G8 had a V6. The G8 GT has the 6.0l, the GXP has the 415 hp LS3. But for this Mustang to beat even a base G8 is an improvement let alone a G8 GT lol. I agree with you though I love Mustangs, even some sixxers. But for this Mustang to beat the G8GT with just bolt-ons is pretty incredible, even if it was tuned.

@jasonhilton He doesn't have it backwards. He's saying the autos shift faster than any person can shift if the transmission is tuned right. There is a loss of power from the crank to the driveshaft thru an auto but there are floods of cars out there with automatics that are faster than manuals.

@arcadeidiot3 does he have the 3.8 or 4.0 in his stang. if hes got the 3.8 he can just drop a 4.2 in from an f150, all it is is a stroked out 3.8. you cant even tell the difference from the outside, it fits right up to the 3.8 mounts. it has way more torque than the 3.8 does.

@turbonegro1120 friend of mine has a v6 stang all stock pony edition....bad car i love stangs but they could have done a little better with them,,,,i dont underestimate the v6 stang i know they are strong....before my conversion to the stroker inline 6 the 4.0 i6 in my jeep had just enuff power to run with it then i had it stroked now my friend wants to do his lol
