The Visual Recital (http://www.VisualRecital.com )is a new approach to integrating visuals with live music where the musician controls the digitized visualizations directly as an enhancement of the musical performance. This is a sample clip from a recent performance at the Darlington Arts Center in Boothwyn, PA, featuring selections from Charles B. Griffin's "Vernacular Dances" with visualizations projected onto a 9' x 7' pvc pipe rear projection screen.

  • What about use cartoon secnes, from various cartoons? Maye it could get atention of kids to music.

  • That's a terrific idea - i hope, someday, to actually create my own cartoons, or to enlist other visual artists to contribute customized animations for the Visual Recital. A combination of 'traditional' 2-D and 3-D animations would work wonderfully!

  • I go there for art class, and sometimes drama :D

  • Do you think there is copyrights problems or violations if someone edited a combination of several comercial cartoons scenes from different labels? Music needs to addept to young generation. A young generation used to videogame needs a few positive push. I heard many historis about kids who give-up music due the old hard inflexible style still in use today.
