At Occupy Milwaukee the police have removed their name tags for a Letter/number combination. One officer stated it would make it easier to ID officers, but I disagree. This is an attempt to keep officers from having their names put on line publicly.

  • @dxalan2 Am I a public servant? No. Do I claim to protect and serve the public? No. Am I paid for by tax dollars? No. Do I carry a badge and a gun? No. Therefore I don't have to ID myself. Again, I'm not trying to hide that I was once named Adam Mueller. These police are trying to hide what they are currently named. Do you get this upset at actors/actress who use fake names too? Probably not, considering they don't steal and murder people without being held accountable. - Ademo

  • @dxalan2 I would never run from you and I don't have to show you anything. Feel free to call me what you want, you know the response you'll get with your tactics.

  • Just remember if you don't like the police, call the Fire Dept when you getting your A*** kicked!!!

  • I think that the reasons they replaced their name tags is for their protection against people who may try to hunt them down. I do not think they are ashamed of their job. If they were they would quit.

  • I think it suits them. I mean A4 is way better than a human name bc once he put on a UNIFORM (for uniformity) he literally ceases to be a thinking reasoning individual who judges each situation objectively and base don his own morals and becomes part of an unquestioning line of authority regardless of circumstance. Theyre conditioned to be as far from humans as possible. A4 is perfect.

  • I was wondering about this myself. I don't know if it is a department-wide policy, or a MIRT (Major Incident Response Team) policy but it reeks. Why COVER UP the officer's name plate as opposed to putting it next to it? It's bad enough that MPD Badge numbers are hard to see, this just adds to the confusion. Of course, suburban racist republikkkans here will just keep rolling with their 'Hurr Cops always right everyone else always wrong HURR' mentality for a PD they never even encounter.

  • well i will have to disagree with you on this. "Every police officer should be issued a identification number, to assure accountability for his actions" - Sir Robert Peel.

  • As a Milwaukeean, I have no problem with the police doing this. And they did a heck of a job showing restraint against a crowd of people who were trying to bait them, like you Ademo.

  • "Ademo", I dare you to post a video that is honest, fair, and without your normal distortion of truth. Accept the challenge, or forever be known as a fraud.

  • My god, what a bunch of fucking douchebags. No, I don't mean the police. You idiots actually think you're accomplishing something?

  • @TheCopBlock Duh...why do you think their names are covered, stupid?

  • lol@ the coward police
