  • Thanks to you and the boys for sharing from your curriculum, giving us both the joy and growing pains that it takes to achieve something extraordinary! To me, following this videoblog is among the most interesting and inspiring videohappening in the danceworld at the moment, the dancers of tomorrow!

  • Thanks for providing subtitles!

  • ilya, thank you for another educational and entertaining and inspiring video. It's always great to hear the young men's views because they add personality to your videos, and they enhance the understanding of the difficulty and technique required. Thank to the camera man also.

  • this is absolutely fascinating, thank you so much for sharing you and your students' hard work with the world!

Yes - for the most part. In smaller schools around the world, where male dancers are fewer, they take technique with the girls. However at schools like the Bolshoi (schools that are connected to a company or have high standards) where there are more men, they train separately because there is slight differences to how men are trained compared to women. For example, men's classes include more beats and tours en'lair, while girls require much less of that, plus pointe work. :)

  • Thanks for providing subtitles!

  • do males and females train separately for the most part except for pas de deux and multiple dancer scenes

  • Greetings from Sweden-you and your lovely students are always such an inspiration for me as a ballet-teacher...Thank you!
