Too many people focused on diction and not the substance of the argument. Mos definitely (no pun intended) got his point across and nearly counter hitchslapped the man himself. Hitchens was so busy trying to pick apart Mos Def by questioning him, but Mos kept coming back with answers that made sense. Frankly, the method Hitchens is endorsing has lead to war and more war, whereas the closest living embodiment of Mos's tactic (Cuban Missile Crisis) averted serious disaster.1 Point to Mos here.

Secondly we are talking about a state where religion is law.This religion justifies murder for god.This religion teaches the end of the world as a prophecy of their delusion full-filled.That is not "fear propaganda",that is the sad fact of the world we live in.Iran acquiring nuclear weapons would be the equivalent of the Westboro Baptist Church getting a nuclear weapon,if the Westboro Baptist Church had a congregation of 74 million zealots.

Except your arguments are post hoc,in order for your argument to be valid Hitchens would've had to been psychic to have foreknowledge of the arab spring events that brought US forces into more surrounding countries other than Iraq and Afghanistan.Your claim of Iran only seeking nuclear weapons as a deterrent is wrongt. First they deny they are even weaponizing their nuclear program,which is a lie.
