Evangelism is less about doing to than reaching out in understanding...making way for personal transformation this is so right

I wonder how open Rollins would be to the ideas of a person who insisted that faith includes belief in propositional revelation.
I'm sure he's met plenty and yet not a hint.

He taught me in school... and I hate to say it and ruin the mood but he is wearing the same clothes! lol

God sent a man to represent him of whom several accounts have been written. However to asssume that a second hand human text about the "message" that is the christ is as much a part of the trinity as the father, the son and the holy spirit, is to prove that we are every bit as full of the same hubris that separates us from God in the first place.

Anyone interrested should read his book "How (not) to speak to God." Whether you want to be reductionistic and argue that you are right or whether you want to wrestle with the deeper things of this life, this book is a great place to start.

(cite: Emmanuel Levinas :-))

P.S. to focus so much on the KJV is the equivalent to missing the person for their eye color. If you are having a conversation with someone and notice the color of their eyes, you are not listening to them. In the same way, if we become so caught up in the words of scripture that we miss the very spirit that gave birth to those words, then we miss what God is saying to us.
