Yes, I understand the issue, just that I understand the English in this video ok. Of course I went Taiwan to have a bright global outlook! I just think we tend to express ourselves quite ok compared to many other countries already. (China, *ahem)

I can tell from your involvement in these comments that you are a big supporter of Taiwan, but ...for example, Vladimir Putin, Time Person of the Year in 2007, speaks with a really thick accent that's hard for native English speakers to grasp at times. I can understand the reporter and the former VP of Taiwan just fine in this video, so I'm not arguing it's not important to speak clearly, just that you need better examples of poor Taiwanese English

If my government wants to 使台灣走向世界！讓世界看見台灣！& can't understand 1st u have to let the world understand what u r talking about, this is "absolutely ridiculous" & THIS IS AN ISSUE.
BTW, this issue has nothing to do with "Why should English accents be such an issue? We're Taiwanese."
with all the above-mentioned, if u still can't understand, now That's even more absolutely ridiculous!
