Jay-Dee 780 - Blenders - Don't Fuck Around With Love

In 1953 label owner Joe Davis got The Blenders to make an alternate version of 'Don't Play Around With Love' at the session that yielded the issued version of that song (audible elsewhere on this channel). The x-rated version, unreleased at the time, came out on Kelway in the early 1970s and on this mischievous repro in the late 1980s.

There are plenty of cheap repros of this record on 7 inch single around at the moment in the oldies shops, so why don't you look for one if you really want one. Bear in mind that people who upload music are not on YouTube to serve you.

I wouldn't have thought so at the time. It didn't make it onto vinyl until the '70s, only existing on a tape in Joe Davis' possession as far as we know.

Acutally, this was an out-take of their record "Don't Play Around with Love," and they made it only as a joke to be distributed to their friends and so on. Years later, it was released on a collector's label.

I got this on a repress 45 about 20 yrs ago .great track.
