she told her,"you know what goes on around here," in other words she nosy old lady. And like a dummie she took it as a compliment. Yemen is wonderful. But those women will stir up a war over a spilled cup of tea. They sit together in the afternoon between bkfst and dinner and do nothing but gossip. And b/c of them the kids see things through their mothers eyes.
Its an interesting phenomenon esp. in Sana.
