1989 Cotton Bowl Intro

ALL NEW! Here is a little bonus, the intro to the 1989 Cotton Bowl between The Arkansas Razorbacks and UCLA Bruins! THe clip starts with promos for Murphy Brown and Designing Women and plugs for the Barnum and Bailey Circus, and finally a promo for WCIX (In its second day as a CBS affiliate, The New Channel 6)! Also notable was looking at Tom Landry scouting Troy Aikman weeks before he lost his job.

The build up was the best part of this Cotton Bowl. UCLA edged Arkansas 17-3 in a boring game. The Razorbacks had 42 yards of total offense . . . the entire game.

The only thing I can think of that comes close is ABC/ESPN's MNF theme (Although that one has been rescored)... I think FOX's NFL theme has held up pretty well at 16 seasons as well... :)

It's amazing how long the CBS College Football theme has stood up...still awesome to this day.
