A Big Boy is a 4-8-8-4, there are none running in the world, but many on display.
The 844 is a 4-8-4 which makes it (in Union Pacific terminology) an FEF (Four Eight Four).
A Challenger is a 4-6-6-4 and only one is left running although they ran all over the US: in the Adirondacks (D&H), to the prairies (UP), to the Rockies (D&RGW).

Actually, #844 is a Northern (4-8-4). UP's other steam locomotive they use for excursions (#3985) is a Challenger (4-6-6-4). Thanks for posting this video.
