Bach credente timorato e fervente? Bach teologo e bigotto? Molto più credibile un Bach pietista - come sostengono certi studi. Ascoltiamo la sua musica: non parla di gioia di vivere e di potenti emozioni? Che ne direste di un Bach conoscitore delle passioni umane, del sano piacere e delle belle donne? Non è quello che hanno sempre fatto i musicisti? E lui era un musicista senza eguali........

@boiadehlaciskia Proprio così! Basta con queste falsificazioni di Johan Sebastian Bach predicatore o, peggio ancora, sacrestano. Basta col titolo di Cantor, che non era prestigioso e non amava. La prova? Guardate la sua firma. Il primo titolo è quello di Compositore di Corte - che fece di tutto per conseguire, negli anni lipsiensi, con suppliche non sempre dignitose e, infine, ottenne per mezzo di potenti intercessori.

Bach adapted this movement from a serenade he composed for the birthday of Prince Leopold of Anhalt-Coethen.
The birthday serenade "Der Himmel dacht auf Anhalts Ruhm und Glück" ("Heaven thinks of Anhalt's fame and fortune") for the Prince of Anhalt-Coethen became the Leipzig Easter cantata "Erfreut euch, ihr Herzen" ("Rejoice, ye hearts").
