1A Auto shows you how to remove or replace the interior door panel trim on your vehicle. You need to remove the door panel for a number of different repairs, for example door handles, window regulators, power window motors, door locks and more. This video, will help you do this.

  • How do you replace the outter door trim? i have a 4door and the trimming is like a rippled trim, i bought the car a while ago and the door and trim is crunched a little bit, if i took off the trim peice, replaced it, and bent the little dents out myself, it would look fine. do you just have to take off door panel and get to it from inside the car?

  • @Noobass2oooo If you take the door panel off there may be some fasteners inside of the door that hold it onto the door. Some manufacturers also use 3M double sided tape to hold door trim and ground effects on. Hope this helps you out.

  • Okay so he didnt tell us to take off the backing to the Handle... But he tells us to put it back on ;) He skipped a step! Thanks though It was helpful, thankfully I knew how to take the backing to the handle off before I seen this :)

  • @KaMiLeUn On 2:22 in the movie he shows you how to remove the screws holding in the bezel around the inner door handle, if this is the part that you were referring too. It should come off pretty easily.

  • So I can do the same process with taking off the back door panel?

  • @stinnett49 You would need to remove any of the trim pieces that hold the door panel on. Then pry the panel off of the door as shown in this video.

  • I simply can't believe you're telling me how to do this for free. All I need now is to find out how to replace the side view mirror and replace the oil gasket and I'm home free (until the wheels go out of alignment, which I think they're doing).

  • Thank you very helpful

  • Awesome......Saved Me on this one. Thanks!!!

  • It would be nice if you could go "close up" on the removal of the wires and how you do that.??..I see you using a screwdriver and I hear a "click" but I have no clue where you pushed the screwdriver to be able to get them disconnected?? Anyone else out there,,,can you help??
