@kgeiger - yep - this was indeed shot in Maynooth - the legs that go past the camera after the snowman? two of those are mine :0))) we later shot a pirate ad in Glendalough - although only November it was in sub-arctic conditions - actors keeling over and all sorts - from Michael - INCAFilm Support :0)))

ahh yes the origional viking commercials. nowadays, they're all the stupid "modern" vikings that sip lattes and tromp about in shopping centers all clumsy like. it's been a long time since the origional viking ads even came about. people are gonna start forgetting what it was even all about.

Hm, the UK version was dubbed (to think they used British actors in our version, bah!); the brit version had one of the raiders asking "what's in your wallet?" in a somerset accent which made it funnier.

My information says that this TVC was filmed on a private estate near Maynooth, in Co. Kildare. So the majority of the "Visigoths" were actually Irish... However, I have no idea if the two major roles were played by English or American actors.
