Corker Calls for Pro-growth Tax/Entitlement Reform, Says POTUS Offering "Penny Ante Solutions"

June 8, 2012 - Appearing on Fox News today prior to a White House press conference where President Obama said the "private sector is doing fine," Senator Corker called the president's proposals "penny ante solutions" that fail to demonstrate real leadership on the nation's long-term fiscal challenges, including the looming $5 trillion tax increase and "fiscal cliff" at the end of the year, all of which are threatening future growth in the economy. Corker said business owners and members of both parties agree that pro-growth tax reform coupled with long-term deficit reduction and reform of Social Security and Medicare will put our nation on a path to fiscal sustainability and are the real stimulus that could unlock private-sector capital and create jobs.
