  • It's orange because of bad film coloration or some junk. It's pretty much the regular version with that added artifact.

  • The "orange" is bad Telecine. Nevertheless this RB logo with the "growing spheres" is the one I liked best as a kid, and it never fails to make me sob today as a fortysomething watching it.

  • GARFIELD!!!!

  • @raposofan It makes me cry when I see it, too.

  • Wow, haven't seen this is so many years! It brings back a lot of memories..thanks for posting it!

  • Man, I wish i was born in the 1970's!

  • @girlintheflesh78 In traditional film based production, one would shoot and edit a negative, make an interpositive (IP) from the negative, and make a duplicate negative from the IP. Positive prints are made from the dupe negative. An IP has a positive image, but has the same dull orange film base as a negative. Any of these elements could be put in a telecine (film-to-video machine). If an IP is used, you must adjust the colors to cancel out the orange base, or you'll get the effect seen here.

  • @rjherie HUH??

  • This version probably has an orange tint most likely because this was telecined off an interpositive without correcting for the orange film base found on IP stocks.

  • I often saw this version on several R-B programs that aired on CBS back in the 1970s (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer among them!).

  • Was this logo originally supposed to be orange? Or was that just because the film got old

  • Wow, that logo is very similar to Plan B's
