The "wild" is far from a good place for them. A baby monkey stands a less than 40% chance of survival. A new leader kills all the infants that aren't his. Single males will kill babies so the mama goes in heat. A mama will eat her baby alive if she sees something she doesn't like. If food or water is scarce, the troop runs off and leaves the babies to starve or become prey. This one looks well fed. It may have been abandoned, or it's mama killed. Look up "disable monkey" see "nature".
