www.BoxingFury.com presents the 3rd installment of the "Measuring Manny" series. Measuring Manny is the only series to provide in-depth analysis of the true progress of Manny Pacquiao as a boxer since facing Juan Manuel Marquez in 2008.

Now that Manny Pacquiao has fought a great technical boxer, we can now provide a realistic assessment of Manny Pacquiao boxing skill and compare it to one ultra elite boxer of this era, Floyd Mayweather Jr.

  • @shellbsd23 speed doesn't win fights, explosiveness doesn't win fights neither does power. SKILLS PAY THE BILLS. We all know what marquez did to him with all the attributes that the so called great manny pacquiao has. If pacquiao is great then what is marquez...

  • Pacquiao only looked good because he was fighting guys with no defense and no head movement. Marquez could always outbox Manny its just in the 3rd fight that he moved and pivoted his upper body. Pacquiao can't beat guys that give him angles or have a good defense. Manny will destroy guys that try to brawl with him.

  • you know, I believe Floyd will beat Pac because of the reasons explained in this video, but I can see Pac beating Floyd too, because Floyd has never faced someone with Pac's speed/ explosiveness/ power and chin (all combined in 1). So stylistically Floyd should win, but Pac is an elite fighter so never count him out.

Boxing experts were so sure Tyson was gonna beat Holyfield, until he shocked the world. so you just never know..

  • @davidshultz2007 well if your looking at it that way how can you even imagine manny would beat floyd? Marquez is slower, smaller, weaker, less technical and just not as good of a boxer or counter puncher as floyd is. So if Marquez can easily shut down Mannys offense what do you think floyd will do? Easy Easy fight for floyd

  • Post all you want---bottom line if floyd really thought he could easily beat pacman, he would have just did it by now..

earning him more money than hes ever made.....

But hes scared with excuses....TRY TO ANALYZE THAT POSTER

  • What this video clearly shows is the posters inability to understand that when both Mayweather and Pacman fought Marquez..you essentially had 2 different opponents styles from the same fighter (marquez)....

Marquez was forced to go offensive against mayweather...going forward.

Versus Pacquiao he was constantly going backwards --

Marquez is not as fast as Pacman, so he was ineffective at breaking through floyds defense.

Pacman is faster more agile and flurries will give mayweather problems

  • @FSMNoodlyAppendage yea but floyd aint a bigger draw than pacman. floyds fights dont' sell. They are boring and no one buys them unless his opponent is the bigger draw like Oscar dela hoya and now pacman!

  • @OZwhatever

144? i almost died laughing, stop giving wrong information.

  • pure nuthuggery.

  • did you see the face of marquez after the bout?

  • @OzBK718 I don't think its Manny that is scared of facing Floyd. I think it's Bob Arum who is the one that doesnt want the fight to happen. Manny has said that he wants to fight Floyd. Then Arum will say some bollocks about the fight not being suitable then all of a sudden Manny is saying the same thing. Bob Arum has too much influence on who Manny will fight. Agree with you on the catchment weight issue though. Utter BS.

  • @Mike9798999 No worries mate. Mistakes happen.

  • people are talking about the Marquez fight as if it's the end of Pacquiao? What about Mayweather vs De la hoya? De la Hoya won that shit clear as day, If any fools think the bradley can beat him when he ran from Khan, your deluded. Mayweather would beat Pacman IMO because he has struggled so much against counter punchers and has a lot of rough fights in his career

  • pac didn't bring his A game on that fight ... everybody has that ... lol can u fight marquez ? show me !!!

  • @whole27 Bigger draw, bigger purse. It's always been this way. It's logical business. If you bring more money in, you GET more money. Not complicated.

  • Hahaha!!! All these PAC-roid fans, don't know shit about boxing. He's scared to fight Floyd, what happened to fighting may 5th? He wanted to fight cotto a 2nd time for his 154 (Jr.Middleweight) belt at 144lbs! Catchweight?? How the fuck are you gonna fight for a belt you don't even make the weight for. Catchweight King! Huh!! I remember a time when you didn't make the weight you didn't fight for the title..

  • @totaldebanker lol damn...thanks for the correction..

  • @JLB80 Hmm i hear what you are saying but what the video pointed out was that Pacquiao struggled with Marquez's counter punching and timing. They say that you beat a fast guy with timing and who has the best timing in the business? I really hate to say it cus I love Manny and have nothing but disdain for FMJ but I really don't see Pacman beating Mayweather if they ever fought. Hope I'm wrong

  • @Mike9798999 Minor correction. It was Juan Lazcano Hatton fought after FMJ not Luis Callazo. Hatton fought Callazo before he fought FMJ. I agree with what you say about Hatton not being the same fighter he was after the FMJ fight though. He seemed to lose that tenacity that made him quite formiddable.

  • @lorac7

Cotto's got some power. people with punching power always has a puncher's chance. who knows? maybe he'll catch floyd with 1 good shot in the right place and at the right time and its lights out.

  • Roger keep saying Timing beats speed, so why will Floyd fight Cotto?

Slow Cotto versus Speedy May w/ great reflex, timing, defense. what happens?

I just hope Cotto KO the cherry picker named Floyd.
