An Anarchist FAQ http://infoshop.org/faq/

If anyone knows where I can find a full free ebook, pdf, or torrent for Free Women Of Spain by Martha Ackelsberg, I would appreciate a link!

  • Thankyou i look forward to the video but also i would like yo ask if in terms of hierarchy authority being replaced i would fear a dictatorship rise if it was not done correct

  • Well, preferably, generally speaking, Anarchists wish to euthanize authority as oppose to smashing it. What we mean by this is we want the public perception to change in such a way that dictatorship would be viewed as a crime. Like any crime, people actively work toward preventing, but also work to thwart any that should propagate. If the general perception of authority is changed and people truly come to believe in equality, then I don't think it, like any other crime, would be commonplace.

  • The people just wouldn't stand for it. Crime may be a bad choice of word, but it helps me simplify it. In any case, if if we are unable to euthanize authority, we will continue to work at creating dissension amongst proponents of authority. I truly believe that that is the way the world is heading when we take a look at the world from a historical perspective. It may not happen in our life time, but we can change as much as we can with the time we have.

  • I intend to go in to this in detail by video. Not to avoid your question, but I do want to say that I prefer a horizontal approach where everyone has the option of being included in the decision making process.

  • @ExquisiteDoom cont 3 Without profit, how does one know wether or not the wellbeing of workers is satisfying? Obviously, if you give stuff to an individual, they will generally take it and want more given the trend. How do you know wether or not you've given ENOUGH or NOT without a profit motive? How many times over your capital has to be underwater until they are satisfied? You offer no regulating mechanism, and if you were to, they would emulate the market but be slower (democracy).

  • @ExquisiteDoom cont 2 A worker owned industry works, as cooperatives have proven, the problem is they are obviously not the most efficient of means as evidenced by current economic management forms. I do not see why we should settle for less, and i certainly do not see how a worker owned place would be more educated as a whole and cover even the most intricate aspects of financing. I also fail to see how profit motive is not more important than the well-being of workers.

  • @ExquisiteDoom cont - 1 THerefore you may have to lay off employees who care not for the job, or do poorly. May have to convince other departments to invest more funds into yours and reserve explanation as to why this must be done, etc. If your produce is not demanded, then wages will obviously plummet down to a minimum (wages workers are willing to work for) and if you still do not capitalize, your industry will have to default, which cuts losses. Your propaganda does not say any of this.

  • Meh.... you missed out on so many things... Hierarchy; by which you really mean management, you seem to hold the position that managers are merely using employees as cash cows, that this is coersion and all that emotional drivel.

Management is about division of labor, instead of being a worker, you have the educational background to manage the funds of a company (resources) If you run out of resources, generally the employees are mismanaged or the market is satisfied with current demand.

  • I agree with much of this vid, it all boils down to the blind belief in Command-And-Obey.

  • Good quesiton. Anyway, this just an example that brings to discussion the crucial role of economics in society. How does your anarchistic theory deal with that ? From what I understood from your point of view it sounds like you support Marx's labour theory of value. I thought this ideas were dead by now.

  • he'll be worse off if he weren't able to do so at all.

  • Hey bro, interesting videos. I do have a question for you though. If a person has a misfortune come upon him needs to sell his computer for half its normal value in an emergency, is it a valid trade for me to buy it from him at half its value? Here, I think it's a legitimate exchange because even though I'm benefiting from his unfortunate state, I didn't bring about that state and I actually help him though this exchange because whatever it is that requires him to sell at a loss,

  • @ dunndudemelol: Most Anarchist believe in some form of co-ops. You should watch the documentary, The Take. (If you have Netflix, they have it.) In the movie, they show factories that run from the bottom up without the use of bosses.
