who says that the poor are not taxed in the philippines? it is NOT the poor who do lots of tax evasions. >.<
-
@EagleStrike119 No one likes the poverty or the high level of air/water pollution. I agree that birth control/Church situation must be remedied. However, once you begin to say things like there must be an effective way of taxing the rich, you are walking on shaky ground. The rich are taxed. The poor are not taxed. The government decides how to apply the tax revenue. The rich decide to be charitable. Who gets the right to decide now much of my own money I get to keep? You? Think before u talkDUMB
just saw on TV ... Mang Rogelio, the jeepney driver , has returned to his home province and was gifted a fishing boat for his birthday by a noontime TV show host.

I normally listen to worship songs on my way to office but this morning I decided to listen to one of Gary Granada's albums.. and then I heard this heart-wrenching song. I was in tears.. this song speaks volumes, and so are Gary's other songs, of what is the real picture of the Philippines.. I'm with an NGO helping the poor thru microenterprise dev and education.. I know there still is a lot of work to do.. and it all starts in believing that there is still HOPE in and for the Philippines..
