  • Thank you for this video. It is a huge misconception that all bones are dangerous. The reason cooked bones are bad is because they do not digest in the stomach. Cooking converts them to an inorganic state, which does not break down normally. They pass through intact to the intestinal tract where they can cause blockage and perforation. Raw bones dissolve easily in the very acidic environment of a dog's stomach! Look at your dog's feces after he's eaten bones -- it is a coarse powder.
