@Bossladyone2 cool u didn't get the point, not even close. We got god on our side is an irony referred to G.W. Bush that said that about the war (more or less conscious of quoting Hitler) Bruce is trying to say that god or not god this war (iraq) feels wrong inside that's why he says "faith is not enough". If you notice he takes all the pro war bullshit (I'm just trying to survive) and uncovers the lie behind them: you kill what you love, cuz u know u'r doing wrong.

The ambiguity of Bruce's songwriting is brilliant. There are more wars and battles being fought on personal front's with the economy as it is, and it is so easy to fall to our fears, especially when you aren't sure what tomorrow holds. I find this song is full of understanding on all levels. I'm with Bruce, We've got God on our side. This song came from an inspired heart.
