I always thought he was an even better composer than player...that's saying a lot cause his feel was CRAZY! There were guys that were faster and cleaner chops-wise,but they didn't have Jaco's SOULFULNESS!!!

    I've never a contemporary bassist of Jaco play faster or cleaner than him. Maybe today( Hadrien Feraud comes to mind) but back then when he was alive he was untouchable.
