  • OMG THIS IS THE PROGRAM I WANT TO GET INTO. :sigh: I swear UW is one of the hardest since they require 4000 hours of clinical experience...that's like 2 years. Every other program requires at least 100.

  • @japanesegurl143

    Yes

I know somebody that was a CNA for 2.5 years and then went on and applied for PA school. Might not sound like the 2 have any connections but what schools are looking at are the exposure to patient contacts

  • I think being a ND and PA-S is really cool. I wish he talked a little bit more about why he decided on doing both.

  • @waytohell2

go to local hospital and volunteer

  • @JXJ1326 hehe yeah i know now xD but thanks for the info!!!!!!!

  • yes it does but you have to take into consideration that alot of PA schools will take people with no clinical experience, just bachelor degrees and the pre-reqs. these school are a year longer or so but make highly trained PAs as do the others. good luck!

  • does working as a cna count for PA program?

  • The medex seems to look for alot of professional experience

  • I persoanlly just started the PA programin Beckley, WV and they require 300 hours of 1 on 1 patient volunteering, aka hospitals or clicnics. Also I have to obtain 20 hours of a PA shadowing. Hopoe this helps.

  • i have asked Malcolom x college and they said EMT-B ( emergency medical technision- basic) works. its a 6 month class that if u pass u take a state exam and get a lisens to being an EMT-B that works in the embulances. they also said being a nurse works as well i have got no idea if the accept working in a lab or not. call the college ur going to and ask the advisors :)
