An excerpt of the award-winning documentary by Zina Saro-Wiwa, This Is My Africa.
What does YOUR Africa look like in the year 2060? Leave a comment and let us know!
This Is My Africa is a fresh and innovative new project designed to improve the way the world sees Africa by sharing personal experiences about the continent on film and on a website.
In a world where brand Africa is dominated by the continents political and social failures, one of the ways to counter this negative onslaught is through emphasising culture and sharing positive personal experiences. This Is My Africa exists to share information about Africa, improve its image and grow its cultural sector. We want to highlight and add value to African cultural products (books, music, film festivals, fashion, travel opportunities, events) by presenting them beautifully and entertainingly.
This is Part I of a three-part series; investors welcome! Questions? Email africalab@gmail.com.

What an excellent piece. I particularly like the last comment, "anarchy of the mind", a creative and vibrant expression of ideas that spur growth in the continent.....love it!

Wait a minute, to be wishing for Europe to be poor so Africa can be rich is not my idea of development (development of mind AND money). This is revenge (to wish for someone's suffering), not development.

I'd like Africa to be in half the shit it's in now, 2009.
All these "personalties" in the video are twice three times removed from Africa. Africa needs good governence before aid. Rather run for office and make a differrence before preaching to your "brothers & sisters". Sorry, can't believe what they say.
