".......The Gobi Desert is a wondrous place, vast in size and mother nature at one of her best. The landscape is made up of endless steppe like plains, huge rocky outcrops, rough scrublands, mountains, dry river beds, sand dunes and seemingly, endless stoney plains. Spectacular, bleak , cruel and unforgiving where, at times the temperature is cold with intense biting winds, then within minutes changes to a searing heat........"

  • @TheSanchirg

I remember during the journey from Ulaanbaatar towards Mandalgovi we had four days of torrential rain & the road we travelled on turned into a swirling river. It was quite scary...... I am glad I did not come across any poisonous spiders during my stay in Mongolia either...... still I really enjoyed my time in Mongolia & the Gobi Desert surpassed all my expectations. I long to return. N
