Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn Yūsuf ibn Ayyūb
(c. 1138 — March 4, 1193)
(Arabic: صلاح الدين يوسف بن أيوب, Kurdish: سهلاحهدین ئهیوبی, Selah'edînê Eyubî)
Better known in the Western world as Saladin, was a Kurdish Muslim who became the Sultan of Egypt and Syria. He led Islamic opposition to the Franks and other European Crusaders in the Levant. At the height of his power, he ruled over Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Hejaz, and Yemen. He led the Muslims against the Crusaders and eventually recaptured Palestine from the Kingdom of Jerusalem after his victory in the Battle of Hattin. As such, he is a notable figure in Kurdish, Arab, Persian, Turkish and Muslim culture. Saladin was a strict practitioner of Sunni Islam. His chivalrous behavior was noted by Christian chroniclers, especially in the accounts of the siege of Kerak in Moab, and despite being the nemesis of the Crusaders he won the respect of many of them, including Richard the Lionheart; rather than becoming a hated figure in Europe, he became a celebrated example of the principles of chivalry.

Another video I put together. I must have made 6 or 7 videos for this song. This is the only one that didn't get deleted. Enjoy!

You pretty much get labeled an anti-Semite if you speak for Palestinians. That will always be Israel's fallback. It's sad we live in times like these, politics aside: it's the people in between who are crushed.

@lightningbloke I don't disagree with anything you're saying. I personally think Israelis & Palestinians both should exsist. Both have their pros & cons. Ultimately this was just a tribute to Bryn Jones aka Muslimgauze. It's all about the music.

Thank you. I must say I found it very difficult to post this video. I learned a lot about this ever continuing conflict while looking for video to use for this song. Many people have strong words for this area of the world no matter what side they're on. Sadly, many Americans are very naive about Palestinians because all we ever hear about is the Jewish side. Americans like to lump Palestinians in with all Arabs of the world (in other words.. Hey, they're Arabs! They must be bad!).

Anyway, I made a point not to show any faces in this because I wanted people to try and put themselves in that situation.
