  • Two completely identical BMW's - a 6 series and a 1 series............ OK

  • This test shows NOTHING. Two completely different cars compared, where EVERYTHING between them is different. The 1 series is a small (relatively light) car with a 2.0l turbo diesel with 140 bhp and a manual gearbox. The 6 series is a fairly large (HEAVY) car with a 3.0l bi-turbo diesel with 281 bhp and an automatic gearbox. THEN the tyres are different. Also, the woman just seems to give the 6-er a boot-full once the rears are spinning! Stupid test run by stupid people!

  • Stop pushing it!! The kitchen shouldn't move!

  • Worst Summer tire on a car with FW is way better on snow then best Winter Tire on a BW heavy car. BMWs , Mercs with BW are horror on snow.

  • Back wheel cars are always going to have grip problems in snow. Next time try to use a front wheel drive car. Also drive the same Model not same make.

  • @watsupBroh he was kidding ;)

  • completely identical BMW's? what the hell is this guy talking about?

  • For the UK, most winters you can simple book a day off work when it snows as the roads are usually clear the day after. I have been using a pair of winter tires only on the front, of my diesel estate, a little dangerous I know but if I drive carfully in wintry conditions the winter tires make the differance between going some where safely and being stuck or sliding into a junction with an ABS assited crash. While socks & chains have there place, I don't think its for the majority of the UK.

  • put socks because chains socks or winter tyres is much diferent. 1st place is sock, 2nd chain,3rd winter tyres. winter tyres will not help u alot vs hard snow and -10 C its proven. I got winter tyres to, and i can tell u climb to hill u go down< depends how high it is. Snow socks are the best check in you tube Winter wsnow sock or chain. u will see.

  • It would seem many of you dont have any experience on the road. Because what he is saying and showing makes 100% perfect sense. Summer tyres are useless in snow. Perhaps one car might go slightly farther than another but in the end, you will get stuck.

  • @Porrly You cannot possibly be this thick. He said they are different as the tires. ITs an IMPROMPTU test. Also whats with the specs sheet copy paste genious? It was only a little fresh snow, those things are unimportant, it was only to show how the tyres perform and how much snow they grab to push the car forward. Its doesnt matter what bhp or if an auto. They pushed the 6series, once it had a momentum its shouldve be moving regardless of the tranny. Seriously, you calling THEM stupid. lol.
