  • I will do my best to get a third video up soon. I am sorry that has taken me so long to get that third video up....................look for it soon now though.

  • What kind of soil do you make for blue berries, also what do you feed blueberries and raspberries? Do they like coffee grinds?

  • @nettie0930

In the nursery we grow the blueberries in Canadian Sphagnum peat moss. They need an acid type soil. Mirical grow Mir acid works great on them for a fertilizer. I have heard that coffee grounds are good for them too, but I don't have practical experience to back that up myself.

  • I started some seeds in one of those mini greenhouse trays. I peaked in yesterday and I found 2 seedlings that had germinated. They still have their seeds attached and no leaves. There's probably more but I can't find them. I know in a few weeks I will have to start fertilizing them. I usually make my own fertilizer, what nutrients do blueberries require? Nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium etc.

PS. When in video #3 coming out.

  • @christigmc

Blueberry plants go through a lot of nitrogen but they do also need some phosphorus and potassium as well. Video three will be up with in the next few days. I am sorry it has taken so long but it will be up soon.

  • I got me blueberry seeds and have planted part of them! You said we won't know what variety they will be but it says on the package northern highbush.Guessing they will all be northern highbush but will not know the variety? Can i get any southern highbush seeds?

  • Blueberry seeds are not specific to northern or southern varieties. Each seed could theoretically be a different variety. I like to number my seedlings and then if I see that number seven is looking promising...............I can take cuttings off of that bush and start more clones of number seven.

  • Any update on the most third video?

  • Thanks for teaching me more about blueberries. in return I'll give you a tip to use vermicompost and vermicompost tea instead of miracle grow since it's an organic fertilizer and you can't argue with the results.

  • best video over, :D

  • Cool videos. I can't wait to see how those little sprouts grew.

  • It stands to reason, if you're going to try and promote your business on youtube, you should certainly do what you say your going to do. And, not admit publicly, on tape, problems with your habits pertaining to growing... with all due respect of course.

  • @eredy) never heard of compost tea

  • @lil27mike27big you can use compost tea if you can get compost free or make it its cheaper than using oil based fertilizers

  • @eredy) but what if your always using the m-grow) and i know there's already some food in the dirt and you can't put any m-grow on no young plants because it will kill them & i guess your wright not all dirt is the same

  • @lil27mike27big lol what happens is it takes away the vitamins and nutrient from your food they will grow for 10 or 20 yrs then when the oil based fertilizer has taken everything away your plant start to grow not as good as they did before it takes a while.

  • @eredy) well it may in India but it don't in my dirt & plants my plants and dirt love it
