Irish crooner, Daniel O'Donnell, sings 'The Fields of Athenry', a classic irish folk song and a track from his new album, 'Moon Over Ireland', live on QVC TV
I suspect that the prison wall was not really lonely.
The probability is that it was joined to other prison walls - otherwise the prisoners would just walk around it and escape.
On the bright side, Australia is a great country. Plenty of sunny, sandy beaches providing lots of opportunities for swimming, surfing and getting a good tan.
...i am an australian of irish heritage...my GGG grandmother and grandfather were transported from cork in 1827...and there names were ellen and michael...i love irish music and especially this song.
i went to see danial o i went to see daniel o,donnell he was brill such a lovely voice and his songs where wonderfull. i was luck because i luck i was asked to go by some one to see him.but had to leave befor the last song s was on night duty i loved the way he flirted but you could all so see he was happy married.and he had so fit and so lovely the personal touch seeing his family and lovley irish songs you never get tiered of listening them
If he sang it at the right tempo it wouldn't sound like such a dirge, and he might even be in tune.
